| because "old" s1 phones - locosto,neptune were first steps in semc s1 security development and for some reason they forget to protect imei unit, they only care about simlocks.
now imei unit is protected same way as in nokia - imei unit (hwconfig) signed by rsa and semc cs server will not generate that signature - only semc production server will generate that signature.
and i not do think that semc will open hwconfig generation for service centers, because it will be exploited by service centers workers - they will change imei on stolen phones,etc.
